City Council has set a public hearing for the budget year starting July 1, 2019, which gives the City the authority to spend money, and sets the property tax levy at $15.38434 per $1,000 of taxable property tax valuations. This is an increase over the prior 3 years of 10.276 cents per $1,000 of taxable valuations. As an example, a homeowner with a taxable valuation of $100,000 would pay $10.28 more per year based on the change in just the levy rate.
There is also a public hearing for the 5-year Capital Improvement Plan.
