[ARCHIVED] Downtown Implementation Plan Update

Survey Summary Graphic

Downtown Implementation Plan Survey Results

As part of he Downtown Implementation Plan, the City requested information through a community survey and an interactive map. We would like to thank all of the individuals who took time to either complete the survey and/or post a comment on the map. 239 surveys were completed and 77 map comments were made.

Bolton & Menk, the consultant working this project has compiled the information and made a summary of the results available. Based on the survey responses, individuals felt that more on-street parking should be the highest priority related to downtown streetscaping and 70% of people who are parking downtown typically park on the street. 70% of respondents indicated a desire to see more trees along downtown streets.

In addition to the summary they have been producing a series of short informational videos about the project. To learn more about the project check out the video series on the City’s project webpage or click on the following links.

Work continues with the advisory committee as they review input received and evaluate possible implementation strategies.

Questions can be directed to the Housing & Community Development Director about the project.
