[ARCHIVED] Four Residents to Interview for Council Vacancy in 1st Ward

The City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, December 21st, at 5:30pm, to interview four residents of the 1st Ward for a vacancy in that City Council position.  The four residents are:

  • Shari Coughenour- 520 North Center Street
  • Samuel Ibarra- 705 East State Street
  • Mike Ladehoff- 407 North 15th Avenue
  • Raymond Starks- 116 West Main Street, Apt. B

The interview will be a panel interview with each applicant being asked the same questions.  Following the interviews, the City Council can make a motion to appoint one of the four to a position, which would be confirmed with a resolution on the December 28th agenda.

The vacancy in the 1st Ward City Council seat is due to the resignation of Sue Cahill as of December 31st.  She was recently elected to the Iowa House of Representatives following three years of service on the City Council.
