Marshalltown Fire Dept Responds to Second Fire at 719 N 4th Ave

NEWS RELEASE: 11/23/20

For Immediate Release

On November 23, 2020, at 12:02 am, the Marshalltown Fire Department (MFD) responded with Marshalltown Police Department (MPD) and Unity Point EMS to 719 N. 4th Ave on a reported trailer fire. On arrival, fire crews found a small trailer in the driveway on fire and fire extending into the wall and attic area of the residence. Crews advanced two hose lines and achieved an initial knockdown from the exterior of the home. Extensive overhaul was required to locate the hidden fire in the wall and attic. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. At the time of this press release, there is no determination of cause and the fire remains under investigation.
