[ARCHIVED] Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over - St. Patrick's Day Safety

MPD Patch

Do Not Rely on the Luck of the Irish - Drunk Driving is Preventable!Drive Sober

MPD collaborates every year with area law enforcement and the Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau on initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety through traffic enforcement efforts. These efforts primarily focus on impaired driving, speed, distracted driving and occupant protection.

The St. Patrick's Day holiday can be a dangerous time of the year on Iowa roadways due to impaired driving. Beginning today and running through March 17, you will notice heightened traffic enforcement efforts in Marshalltown and throughout Iowa. Law enforcement will especially be on alert for drunk drivers.

Be safe! Drive sober or designate a sober driver. Your life, and the lives of those sharing the road with you, depend on it.

Thank you!
