[ARCHIVED] Donation to the Coliseum to Honor Family Who Served in World War II

American Flag

Veterans Day is a time for us all to remember and thank those who have served, and JP and Jennifer Howard are using it to commemorate the service of their fathers, James Robert Howard and Orland Wayne Joens, by making a contribution to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.  James Robert Howard earned a Bronze Star as a Combat Medic in World War II, which his son JP found fitting to their Bronze Star level contribution.  Orland Wayne (O.W.) Joens was a Lieutenant who served in all three theaters of World War II- Africa, Europe, and the Pacific.  O.W. can still fit into his old uniform and wears it with pride.

As you reflect on this Veterans Day, please consider making a donation to the renovation of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in honor of a veteran in your life.  More than $1.1 million has been raised towards the $1.35 million goal.  You can still contribute to the renovation of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum by visiting www.mtowncoliseum.com or sending a check to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum Fund to 24 North Center Street, Marshalltown, Iowa 50158.  All contributions are tax deductible.
