[ARCHIVED] Emerson Donates $100,000 to Coliseum Renovation

Emerson Coliesum

The fundraising for the renovation of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum has gone over the $1 million milestone thanks to a very generous $100,000 donation from Emerson.  This also puts Emerson as the newest Medal of Honor donor, which recognizes all donors contributing $10,000 or more.  This donation is very meaningful to Al Hoop, Fundraising Committee Member and City Council Member:  "It's fantastic donation, and as a retired Fisher Controls employee, I greatly appreciate the gesture to help our community."

Pictured from left to right are Fundraising Committee Members Al Hoop, Mike Gowdy, Steve Storjohann, Emerson- Fisher Valves and Instruments President Kevin Meyer, and Fundraising Committee Members Deb Mettlin, Kelli Thurston, and Vic Hellberg.

Donations are still be accepted to help reach the $1.35 million goal.  To donate, please visit www.mtwoncoliseum.com or send a check to Veterans Memorial Coliseum Fund, 24 North Center Street, Marshalltown, Iowa  50158.
