[ARCHIVED] Quiet Zone Survey Now Available

Railroad Crossing Sign

The City of Marshalltown is looking for public input on the proposed Quiet Zone in Marshalltown, and is asking for those living and working in Marshalltown to provide their input.  The survey can be accessed here:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XTRCS5P.  The survey will be open through August 28th.

The survey will help gather input from a broader portion of the community in addition to a public open house to be held later in the month.  "We have seen increased discussion of issues in our community when we use a survey, so this just made sense to provide an alternative for those that are unable to attend a public meeting," said Jessica Kinser, City Administrator.  For those that can attend, the public input meeting on Wednesday, August 28th, from 5:30-7pm at the Fisher Community Center.  It will include a short presentation along with displays of the proposed improvements at the railroad crossings at 12th Street, 6th Street, 2nd Street, and 12th Avenue.
