The City of
Marshalltown will hold its annual clean-up day on Saturday, August 24th,
from 8-11:30am in the parking lot located at the corner of North Center and
Grant Streets. Large dumpsters will be
available for residents to drop off items that normally have to go to the
landfill due to size or type. Metal
items will also be taken but will need to separated from other items. Items that will not be accepted include
tires, trees or other compost items, recyclables, regular household trash,
hazardous wastes and appliances.
If you are located in the tornado-impacted area and need assistance getting items to the drop-off location,
please call the Public Works Department at 641-754-5734 and provide your name,
address, and telephone number to request volunteer assistance. This will only be offered if enough
volunteers are available and only in the tornado-impacted area.
