On Sunday, February 10, at 11:05 a.m., the Marshalltown Police Department received a report of an unattended death at a private business located at 19 South Center Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased, adult female. The cause and manner of this death has not yet been determined and an investigation is ongoing. The name of the deceased has not been released pending family notifications.
The Marshall County Attorney’s Office, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation Crime Lab and the Marshall County Medical Examiner are assisting the Marshalltown Police Department with this investigation.
