[ARCHIVED] MPD Officer Casee Veren Promoted to Sergeant

MPD Patch

The Marshalltown Police Department is proud to announce the promotion of Officer Casee Veren to the position of Patrol Sergeant. Sergeant Veren began her new duty following Sergeant Melinda Ruopp’s retirement on September 16, 2018. Sergeant Veren begins her new assignment on September 17, 2018, and has been appointed to the police department’s ‘Day Shift B’ 12-hour patrol shift lead by Lieutenant Rick Bellile.

Sergeant Veren comes to us from the city of Creston, Iowa. She is a graduate of Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa with a major in Criminal Justice. Sergeant Veren was hired by the Marshalltown Police Department in August 2006 and has been involved in many activities inside and outside our department during her law enforcement career. Within our agency, Sergeant Veren has held the positions of Field Training Officer (FTO), Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), Crisis Negotiator and Community Outreach Officer. For our community, Sergeant Veren continues to be involved in helping coach area AAU volleyball, the Cop on Top program helping to sponsor Special Olympics Iowa and the Iowa M.S. Bike Ride helping to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis Research.

We would like to congratulate Sergeant Veren on her new promotion. Her work inside and outside our agency continues to be outstanding and we are very excited to have Sergeant Veren as a new member of our leadership team.
