The City of Marshalltown has opened the newly constructed streets of Edgewood St and N 8th Ave to traffic.
Beginning Thursday, December 14th, 2023 @ 8:00 AM, the City's official Truck Route will utilize these new roads. Truck traffic travelling south on Hwy 14 / N 3rd Ave shall exit at Edgewood Street and utilize Edgewood Street and N 8th Ave to travel to Marion Street. Marion Street from N 8th Ave to N 18th Ave, as well as N 18th Ave shall remain the city's designated truck route.
Marion Street from Hwy 14 (N 3rd Ave) to N 8th Ave will no longer be the City's designated truck route. No thru trucks will be allowed and the speed limit will be 25 mph through this residential area.
