[ARCHIVED] Marshalltown Police Department Investigates String of Burglary & Theft Crimes

Between September 6 and September 9, 2023 the Marshalltown Police Department investigated nine new burglary and theft crimes. These crimes occurred in the 1400 block of West Main Street, 1600 block of Summit Street, 1600 block of Fremont Street, 100 and 300 blocks of North 16th Street (four incidents), and the 100 block of North 16th Street (two incidents). Stolen property was recovered by police on September 7.

On September 17, 2023 Emmanuel Kparyea (20) of Marshalltown, was taken into custody in connection with these investigations. Kparyea was arrested for the below listed criminal offenses:

  • Burglary 3rd Degree of a Vehicle (6 counts)
  • Credit Card Fraud
  • Possession of burglar tools
  • Possession of Controlled Substance

These investigations are on-going. The police department anticipates making additional arrests.
