Chief Michael W. Tupper stated, “I am proud of the extensive police work our police officers and detectives put into this investigation. This is an example of senseless violence that could have resulted in tragedy. What made this investigation even more concerning is that it involved several young people who continue to wander down a disturbing and dangerous path of violence. We remain concerned about a small group of juveniles and young adults who are more frequently turning to guns and violence to settle petty disputes. This is a dangerous game that we cannot and will tolerate in this community. I strongly urge all parents to talk to their sons and daughters about gun violence and the need to walk away from dangerous people and situations.”
