City Administrator Jessica Kinser has announced her intent to step down as City Administrator effective May 12, 2023. Ms. Kinser has served as Marshalltown’s City Administrator since November 2016 and has led the city’s post-tornado and derecho resurgence. The Marshalltown City Council appointed Bob Fagen as Interim City Administrator at the May 8th, 2023 regular City Council meeting. A national search for a new full-time City Administrator will begin immediately. The City Council is focused on a smooth transition and is committed to finding the right candidate to help keep moving our community forward.
