On Friday, March 17, 2023, the Marshalltown Police Department received a report of a robbery. A 23-year-old Marshalltown woman reported she was robbed at gunpoint on Monday, March 6. This robbery occurred in the area of Center Street and Grant Street.
On Saturday, March 18, the Marshalltown Police Department arrested Amarrion Demeir Isom, age 20. Mr. Isom reports living in Fort Dodge and Marshalltown. Mr. Isom has been charged with Robbery in the First Degree (Class B Felony). Upon his arrest, Mr. Isom was transported to the Marshall County jail. He is being held pending an initial court appearance.
The investigation of this robbery is continuing. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting the Marshalltown Police Department with this investigation.
