[ARCHIVED] MARSHALLTOWN MAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER

On Friday, March 3, 2023, at approximately 9:21pm officers were sent to the 300 block of North 1st Street for a reported shooting. The victim was identified as a twenty-year-old Marshalltown man. The victim reported to officers he had been chased by another vehicle and then the suspect shot into his vehicle while the victim was inside. The victim’s vehicle had several bullet holes in the driver’s side door. Nobody was injured during this shooting incident. After further investigation a suspect was identified and arrested. 

Angel Gabriel Galvez-Trejo, age 20, of Marshalltown has been charged with the following crimes:

  • Attempted Murder (Class B Felony)
  • Going Armed with Intent (Class D Felony)
  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Aggravated Misdemeanor)
  • Reckless Use of a Firearm (Aggravated Misdemeanor)
