On March 3, 2023 Officers with the Marshalltown Police Department executed a search warrant at 519 N 3 St Apt 16 in regards to an investigation into Ralph Stevenson, age 62, of Marshalltown, possessing firearms as a prohibited person. While executing the search warrant officers found Stevenson to be in possession of firearms as well as incendiary materials. Stevenson was arrested and charged with the following offenses.
- Possession Firearm as a Prohibited Person (Class D Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm Suppressor (Class D Felony)
- Possession of Explosive or Incendiary materials or devices (Aggravated Misdemeanor)
The Marshalltown Police Department was assisted by the Marshalltown Fire Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
