Are you seeing some unusual looking trucks working around town like the one above or box trucks/trailers with camera set-ups?
The city is working with Municipal Pipe Tool Company to rehabilitate many of our sanitary sewers through cured-in-place-pipe lining (CIPP) to seal up underground sanitary sewers which will reduce clean water entering our system. We also get a structural benefit that will extend the life of the sewer at a significantly lower cost than full replacement through open cutting or trenching.
Current activities include cleaning and televising approximately 70,500-feet of sanitary sewer, which is about 9% of our sanitary sewer pipes in town. Current cleaning and televising activities will not require you to pause or stop your sewer service. Additional activity is expected to extend through the summer.
