For Immediate Release 

On March 10, 2022, at 11:44 am, the Marshalltown Fire Department (MFD) responded with Marshalltown Police Department (MPD) and Unity Point EMS to 107 E. Lincoln Street on a reported structure fire. There was no one home at the time of the fire. The home sustained a significant amount of fire damage. While investigating the cause and origin of the fire, fire and police personnel determined that the fire was intentionally set.  

On Wednesday, December 28, 2022, Marshalltown Police Department arrested Kristi A. Franklin, 64, of Marshalltown on charges in connection with this fire.

 Ms. Franklin has been charged with Arson 2nd Degree – Class “C” Felony
