[ARCHIVED] Fall Open Burning Period

October 1, 2022 at 10:00 am marks the first day for the fall open burning period. Open burning for the fall period ends on November 30, 2022 at 7:00 pm. As a reminder, the regulations are listed below:

  1. Burning is allowed from 10 am to 7 pm each day with the exception of holidays.
  2. Yard waste only, absolutely no garbage/trash.
  3. All burn piles must be constantly supervised.
  4. There must be a means of extinguishment present (garden hose).
  5. Burning must be at least 50 feet from any structure.
  6. If burning is done in a container with a cover to prevent flying embers, the distance shall not be less than 15 feet.
  7. If wind speeds reach 15 mph or greater, burning is prohibited. 

Please take your neighbors into consideration when burning
