The Marshalltown Police Department is proud to announce the promotion of Detective Sadie Weekley to the position of Patrol Sergeant. Sergeant Weekley began her new duty following Sergeant Rick Lang’s retirement on April 29, 2018. Sergeant Weekley begins her new assignment on April 30, 2018, and has been appointed to the police department’s ‘Day Shift A’ 12-hour patrol shift lead by Lieutenant Rick Bellile.
Sergeant Weekley comes to us from the city of Dysart, Iowa and is a graduate of Hawkeye Community College in Police Science. Prior to being employed with our agency, Sergeant Weekley worked as a jailer and communication operator for the Tama County Sheriff’s Office and patrol officer for the Toledo Police Department. She was hired by the Marshalltown Police Department in August 2007 and was selected as our agency’s Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault investigator in 2009 where she has worked since that time.
We would like to congratulate Sergeant Weekley on her new promotion. Her work inside and outside our agency continues to be outstanding and we are very excited to have Sergeant Weekley as a new member our leadership team.
