[ARCHIVED] Marshalltown Fire Requests Public Assistance

Over the past 12 months the Marshalltown Fire Department has responded to nine fires that, after investigation, have been determined to be arson. Of those fires, eight have been in vacant buildings located north of Anson Street. The department is requesting the public’s assistance in monitoring vacant buildings for suspicious activity. 

 

If you witness suspicious activity or have information concerning the fires, please contact the Marshalltown Fire Department at 641.754.5751, the Marshalltown Police Department at 641.754.5725 or contact Marshall County Crime Stoppers at (641) 753-1234, via text by texting the word “marshall” followed by the tip to CRIMES (274637), or online at www.marshallcountycs.com. All tips are completely anonymous and could earn a reward of up to $1,000 if the tip results in an arrest.
