The free meals will be distributed from a site located on East State Street between 14th Avenue and Sharon Avenue, starting at 11am on Thursday, August 20th. The group plans to prepare 6,000 meals, with 4,000 to be served in Marshalltown and the remaining 2,000 taken to Cedar Rapids and other communities. Farmers and Friends Helping Others is a team effort of many including Tyler and Amy Bruch of Cyclone Farms and Paul Coffey of Coffey’s Hog Wild BBQ. Farmers and Friends Helping Others was created to assist those suffering from natural disasters.
