As COVID-19 continues to spread, the City of Marshalltown is taking additional precautions to protect employees and the public. Mayor Joel Greer acting under the ongoing civil emergency declaration for COVID-19 has put forth a policy for both the public and employees to utilize masks in their interactions. Effective on Monday, July 20th, any person entering a City building will be required to wear a mask. The locked vestibules at City Hall and the Police and Fire Building will not be considered as being in the building for the purposes of wearing a mask. Employees will also be required to wear a mask when interacting with members of the public as well as in the common places within their facilities. This policy will remain in place until further notice.
