On Thursday, December 26, 2024, at approximately 8:37pm, Marshalltown Police Officers were dispatched to Jiffy Mart for a robbery. The victim advised the suspect had pointed a firearm and demanded money. The suspect then left the area on foot.
Officers quickly arrived in the area and located a suspect matching the description given by the victim and witness. The suspect fled from officers on foot but was apprehended shortly thereafter. The firearm used in the crime was also
recovered.
Officers arrested John David Henderson, age 42, of Montour. Mr. Henderson was charged with:
• Robbery 1st Degree – Class “B” Felony
• Going Armed with Intent – Class “D” Felony
• Interference with Official Acts – Simple Misdemeanor
• Public Intoxication – Simple Misdemeanor
Mr. Henderson was taken to the Marshall County Jail and remains held pending an initial court appearance.
