On Monday, September 16, 2024, at 6:25pm, the Marshalltown Police Department responded to a disturbance call at 412 East Church Street (old Primary Health building). The original report involved a possible fight involving multiple individuals. It was reported that someone displayed a firearm during this incident. No injuries were reported and no arrests were immediately made. The investigation continued.
On Tuesday, September 17, at 2:58pm, the Marshalltown Police Department arrested Adelfio Fredrick Lamonto Jr., age 49, of Marshalltown in connection with this investigation. Mr. Lamonto Jr. has been charged with:
- Burglary – 3rd Degree
- Criminal Mischief – 2nd Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana
- Trespass – Two Counts
On September 17, Mr. Lamonto Jr. was transported to the Marshall County Jail and is being held pending a court appearance.
