Due to the Governors Health Emergency Proclamation from November 17th to December 10th:
Zumba Class is suspended until December 11th.
Taekwondo Session 9 is cancelled.
Men's and Women's Volleyball League are cancelled for the remainder of the season.
Due to the derecho storm damage on Monday, August 10, 2020....
- Trees on the terrace and right-of-way have been assessed using FEMA criteria to determine needed removal. Yellow numbers indicate trees to be removed. Following a bid process, trees will be removed with FEMA public assistance paying 85 percent of removal costs. Road Use Taxes will be budgeted for stump removal in 2021 and 2022. With questions, please contact Parks and Recreation at (641) 754-5715, ext. 1.
- Trees with dangerous branches over right-of-way areas have been marked with red numbers and being removed. Your patience are appreciated as this process continues.
- Trees that have over 2/3 of their branches missing, has a split truck, or leaning more than 30% have been marked with yellow numbers and will be bid out for removal in the spring 2021. After that another bid will go out to remove the stumps that remain in the terraces after all the trunk removals have been completed.
The Campground in Riverview Park is closed for the year and will reopen as weather permits in April 2021.
To promote safety, Parks and Recreation has a Drop Box outside the building and a phone in the vestibule (dial 5200). Please wear a mask and call ahead to enter the Parks & Recreation office.
